Mr Stefanos Bakirtzis

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Stefanos Bakirtzis received a Diploma degree in electrical and computer engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Athens, Greece, in 2017, and the M.A.Sc. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada, in 2020. He is pursuing a Ph.D. with the Department of Computer Science and Technology, University of Cambridge, Cambridge, U.K. He is working on the Big Data Analytics for Radio Access Networks (BANYAN) Project as a member of Ranplan Wireless Network Design Ltd., Cambridge, with the University of Cambridge. His research interests include wireless communication systems, network optimization, wireless channel modelling, machine learning and artificial intelligence, computational modelling, and stochastic uncertainty quantification.

Mr. Bakirtzis received the Onassis Foundation Scholarship, the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions-Innovative Training Networks (MSCA-ITN) Fellowship, and the Leventis Foundation Grant. He has been a finalist in the 2020 IEEE International Microwave Symposium Advanced Practices Paper Competition Award and in the 2023 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing First Pathloss Radio Map Prediction Challenge, whilst he placed third, among the award-winning teams, in the GBSense Challenge 2022.
