Jiming Chen, received his M.S. and Ph.D degree in communication and information systems from the University of Electronic and Science Technology, China in 2003 and 2006, respectively. Now he is a Principal Wireless Engineer and Manager of the Wireless Research Group at Ranplan Wireless Network Design Ltd. (UK) since 2018.
Prior to that time, he was a Head of the Wireless Network Team and Senior Research Fellow at Ranplan from 2011, and a Research Scientist in Bell labs at Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell Ltd. from 2006 to 2011, and then became a Member of Alcatel-Lucent Technical Academy in 2010, where his research interests were the key techniques of cooperative processing and small cells for 3GPP LTE-A system. Currently, he focuses the research on 5G NR and WiFi 7 key technologies, such as 5G+AI, mmWave, Massive MIMO, and beamforming, for indoor and outdoor scenarios, and implementation in Ranplan planning and optimization tools. Up to now, he held about 30+ international patents and 30+ publications.
